About Lane and STG

Scandinavian Tobacco Group Lane Ltd. manufactures and sells a variety of pipe tobacco, fine-cut tobacco, and little cigars for the US market. STG Lane’s brand portfolio includes Captain Black pipe tobacco and cigars as well as Winchester little cigars, and the fine-cut tobacco brands Bugler and Kite.

STG Lane was originally founded in 1890 in Germany by the Lewin family, who immigrated to the US in 1937. The company has since 1983 had various owners and was a part of Reynolds American from 2004 until Scandinavian Tobacco Group acquired the company 1 March 2011.
